The brand’s story begins in 1960 in Arsiero, a small town at the foot of the Prealps near Vicenza.
There, the Ferrari family founded an artisanal tailoring workshop for third-party production.

THE BRAND IS BORN

After nearly thirty years of experience in manufacturing for others, Alessandro, Isidoro, and Gilberto Ferrari chose to build on their craftsmanship and take a new direction.

In 1988 Cape Horn was created: a brand inspired by the legendary cape of Latin America, a symbol of adventure by sea and land, extreme frontiers, and mythic exploration.

THE BEGINNING OF INNOVATION

Cape Horn took a decisive step: it traveled to the United States to bring Polartec® fleece to Italy, one of the most advanced fabrics of its time, known for thermal insulation, breathability, and durability.

A FIRST IN ITALY

The company was among the first in Italy to introduce this material, and the first to create a collection using recycled fleece, confirming its vocation for research, quality, and innovation.
